As much as I love shooting people and weddings, I do love a bit of commercial photography too. It was fab to be back at JN Rusticus HQ to shoot their new pieces. Every time I visit I come away wanting to redcorate my house and this time was no different.. I adore their new textiles that they’ve added too. Here are a few favourite shots from their latest shoot.

I loved this shoot so, so much.. Sophie at Nancy Loves Nails (an absolute nail queen who rightly berated me on the state of mine) wanted a shoot to celebrate her hitting 10k on Instagram (by the time we shot this she was closer to 12k.. but OK) and she wanted some images to use for promo stuff and on her social media. From the beginning when we started throwing ideas and colours back and forth I just knew it was going to be ridiculously good.

Something a bit different today! It was so good to head up to JN Rusticus’ headquarters and take some commercial product shots and styled shots for their website and social media - I absolutely loved their pieces (right up my street!) and it was really fun to shoot something a bit different to what I usually do. Here are a few favourites from their commercial photography shoot from last week..

“Paris is always a good idea”

…so much so, that I think this was my fifth visit to this beautiful city. This trip was my first where I arrived by Eurostar, though, which felt pretty exciting! As I’ve visited and seen most of the sights to ‘tick off the list’, it was wonderful to mainly wander, eat, drink and photograph this city. I went with my husband for my 30th birthday, and the only thing I especially wanted to do was to watch the sunset from the Eiffel tower.. and it was magical.

I’ve waited so long to find the time to edit these! It’s what happens during wedding season.. you still itch to create your own personal work but actually processing and finding the time to edit and finish little projects on the side gets pushed to the bottom of the pile..

Did you know I do commercial photography too? So much of the work I put out there is so wedding and lifestyle heavy that maybe it's not that obvious that I've loved working on different commercial projects in the past.

A throw back to an amazing Vegas wedding today.. Here are Kerry and Rob!

They flew over to Vegas to be married by Elvis in a chapel in the Old Town, before celebrating on Freemont Street with some close friends and family.. Yes, really. It was the stuff of destination wedding dreams. 

For my Magic Seven post today I'm looking all the way back to one of my favourite ever shoots with What Katy Did Next for her collection Reign. We shot at Mayfield Studio in Newcastle with an amazing team (credits at the bottom). I loved this collection of bridal headwear so much.. together with Katy's amazing styling it was a joy to photograph.

I still can't really believe I had the opportunity to make a flying visit to India for a commercial job.. India has been on my 'list' for so long and I didn't let myself believe it was happening until I had to pack my case...!
