“Paris is always a good idea”

…so much so, that I think this was my fifth visit to this beautiful city. This trip was my first where I arrived by Eurostar, though, which felt pretty exciting! As I’ve visited and seen most of the sights to ‘tick off the list’, it was wonderful to mainly wander, eat, drink and photograph this city. I went with my husband for my 30th birthday, and the only thing I especially wanted to do was to watch the sunset from the Eiffel tower.. and it was magical.

We stayed near Monmarte, probably my favourite area, wandered around Le Marais and down by the river, ate incredibly well, drank champagne, Aperol, Beaujolais and Absinthe (not all at once..) and took a few days for some rest and relaxation in this magical city.

I only brought a ‘little’ digital camera that fit in my handbag.. I’m always so tempted to bring my full kit but I’m always glad to resist on some trips away too. I love taking photographs purely for myself but it’s nice to scale down and keep it more casual sometimes too..

A little trip away to Europe is my ultimate treat thing to do.. I really want to keep exploring, both with and without the girls. I may make a travel bucket list for the year ahead.. where are your favourite places to visit and where do you want to see?
