I'm excited to announce that I'll be exhibiting at Preston Park 'Party in the Park' wedding fair next week! 

It's been a few months since I was displaying my work and chatting at a wedding fair, and this fair is *right' up my street.. think glasses of fizz on the lawn, a tipi, goodie bags, live music, a gin bar.. I hope to see you there!

I'm so excited to share Jess and Jack's stop motion film! These two have an absolutely beautiful wedding at Dewsall Court in Hereford - think perfect floral styling and stationery details designed by Jess - a graphic designer - herself. It was absolutely perfect and such a pleasure to spend that sunny day in June with these two.. Here is their stop motion wedding film..

Never have I ever come away from a wedding craving a glass of fizz quite so much.. Alex and Dave had a champagne-inspired wedding at the beautiful Whinstone View near Great Ayton in North Yorkshire. I've loved shooting at Whinstone View so much in the past because every couple can really put their stamp on this beautiful barn venue and it has a totally different feel every time.. Alex and Dave celebrated in style and their wedding was wonderful to be part of. Here are a few favourites from Saturday..

On Sunday I travelled over to Cawthorne Park for an engagement shoot with Annie and Steven ahead of their November wedding. We braved the drizzle and wandered around this beautiful park, hunting out spots for photos while we chatted about their wedding plans. Here are a few favourites.. These two were so, so in love. Their ceremony was so emotional, and all day they started into each others' eyes like they were the luckiest people on earth. Here is there stop motion wedding film..

Rosie and Tom had one of the most laid back and wonderfully unstructured days at the beautiful Tithe Barn in Nether Poppleton near York. They said their vows at the registry office in  York city centre before travelling in Land Rovers over to celebrate in style at this beautiful venue. They had covered it with flowers and candles, and guests mingled in the gardens, drinking cocktails and eating amazing BBQ food and had a wonderfully laid back Summer celebration. Kate and Joe - WHAT. A. DAY. An absolutely beautiful, ridiculously fun, heartfelt, emotional, romantic and awesome celebration that I wished could have gone on forever.. I'm lucky enough to know these two personally which made hearing their story all over again on their wedding day all the more special. Here are a few previews from their wonderful day at Ormesby Hall in Middlesbrough..

What a gorgeous intimate celebration this was.. Kelly and Mark said their vows in Middlesbrough's beautiful Town Hall in front of family, friends and lots of little ones! The entire day was really informal, and they wandered through the streets afterwards to relax and spend time with their guests. They were accompanied by their gorgeous two girls, and the day was really about family and what these two have together. Here are a few favourites from their day..

Well Saturday was EPIC. It was just the most laughter and love-filled day. Laura and Patrick know how to wedding and it was just perfect. Space hoppers, happy tears, limericks, amazing evening light, a glitter bar, wild ceilidh dancing.. and they topped it off by performing their own first dance song. I think the photos say more than I can.. step this way to see this amazing Aldby Park marquee wedding..

Sarah and Brett got married at the beautiful Old Hall, Ely. It was a wonderful Summery wedding, with heartfelt personal details everywhere and it was completely centred around these two and family.

This post is inspired by an enquiry I recently had, in which a couple had copied and pasted a long set of questions for me to answer (around 30 of them), some of which were out-dated ("Do we get the film negatives?") and a few where the answers could easily be found on my site and within my information and pricing pages ("What is your style?" / "What is in your packages?")

It's been a little while since a "Magic Seven' post, so here we are! For these posts I select my favourite (lucky number) seven images from the day.. the images I loved, the ones that sum the couple up, the ones that capture the magic of their day.. Today it's time for Amy and Matt.

Oh what a day this was.. The sun really shone for Elizabeth and Mark's wedding in beautiful North Yorkshire for their village hall wedding. I've known Elizabeth since the beginning of primary school, and we stayed friends right through secondary and past university until our lives changed with partners met and babies arriving.. it was really magical to be there to capture her wedding day, together with their beautiful son, Sebastian. 

Well Saturday was just one of those perfect Summer wedding days.. the sun was shining for Jess and Jack's wedding at Dewsall Court - an amazing venue in Hereford, which looked like some sort of French Chateau in amazing grounds, and the entire day was a dream to shoot. They married outside, before having welcome drinks on the lawn then heading down to a barn for the meal and evening celebrations.

Holly and Jamie's York city centre wedding was just wonderful. They said their vows in St Deny's Church before walking up Fossgate to the Merchant Adventurer's Hall for their reception.

The forecast was for solid rain - ALL day.. but when they came out of the church the sun was shining and not a drop of rain fell until it was time for everyone to sit down for the meal - perfect timing and we all couldn't believe their luck!

Better late than never! (Oh god, *how* is it June, already?) This year has started flying by at a crazy speed, January and February shuffled by, and suddenly we're approaching the half way point! Here is what's been going on in March, April and May 'Behind the Curtain'..

Last Thursday was just perfect. Jen and Dan were a fabulous and so-in-love couple, their venue was beautiful and the sun shone all day long. I was so excited to join them for their Sandhole Oak Barn wedding in Cheshire - I love a relaxed barn wedding and they had styled this beautiful venue to perfection - it was personal, elegant, slightly rustic and everything just came together perfectly.

I have the highlights from a perfectly-styled shoot today, for amazing wonder woman/head wear designer Katy from What Katy Did Next. I love her mix of metallics and botanicals, and we were lucky enough to shoot really locally to where I'm based at the beautiful Preston Park Museum and Gardens.

To be completely honest, it's been a little while since I shot an engagement shoot. I love doing them, but recently I've been much more used to wedding days and family sessions.. so when Phillippa and Toby greeted me with "We're a bit nervous!" I replied with "Me too!"
