A first dance to a brass band in the car park when receptions weren’t allowed // elbow bumps and kisses blown // a wedding planned in three days to get in before November Lockdown 2.0 // face masks for guests hastily made to match outfits // a wedding allowed to have 30 guests with only a day to spare // champagne toasts from a car boot in a lay-by following a ceremony in Tier 3 // sanitiser table favours // would-have-been wedding guests waiting outside ceremonies to show their love from a distance // Zoom and Facebook broadcasts from church..

It’s been love and magic against all odds.

One from the archives.. A rainy and rainbow-filled day.. Sara and Joey had a Liverpool city centre wedding before going on to celebrate at beautiful venue Oh Me Oh My - an old bank building near the docks and the Liver building. It was such a wonderful day and I loved being back in Liverpool and being there to capture it.. Here is their stop motion wedding film!

I say it every time I’m there.. but I do love shooting in Liverpool. What a city.

It was just the perfect day - completely relaxed, fun, full of side glances, kisses and squeezes with each other, so much laughter, and a big knees up at the end. It was an absolute dream to shoot.

2017 was another busy, exciting and special year for so many reasons.. My work has taken me all over the UK and abroad, I've met and worked with truly wonderful couples, laughed and cried through speeches and unscripted moments, tried to push myself creatively more than ever, charged and packed my kit, shot, then charged and packed again (ad infinitum), and really tried to push and bring myself and my own approach to my work more than ever before..

Oh I really LOVE to be back shooting at Oh Me Oh My wedding in Liverpool. Lizi and Tony married in Crosby (you'll see some of their photos were at Another Place on the beach there) before heading to hold the reception to their wedding at Oh Me Oh My in Liverpool city centre to celebrate. I really love a Liverpool city centre wedding, and love that they wanted to take some time for pictures at John Lennon's old drinking hole too.. Right up my street!
