I've been so excited to share these images and now I finally can - Zeds childrenswear launches today!
Zeds is run by Rosie and Bing, two wonderfully talented and lovely ladies who believe in fair, ethical and sustainable fashion. I was absolutely over the moon to be able to accompany Bing on a trip to India last May to work with the makers at the other end of production. Everything had to be ethical, environmentally friendly, with organic materials and with fair conditions for workers. Their pieces are modern, colourful, comfortable and they have some of the most beautiful prints (check out the PJs!).
In their own words, "We pride ourselves in using only GOTS certified organic cotton fabric produced in ethical factories. Our garments are free from pesticides, dangers of environment toxins, sweatshop and child labour. We are committed in supporting the development of healthy happy children and taking care of the environment. By choosing to buy organic cotton, we are helping to maintain healthy soil and promote safer social working standards for farmers."
As well as flying across the world for Zeds, I was lucky enough to be asked to shoot five minutes down the road too, at the local Ice Cream Parlour with about 15 beautiful and lively children. It was busy (obviously!) but totally wonderful to see Rosie and Bing's creations come to life after seeing pattern testing and fabric samples a few months earlier.
So, here is the Zeds shoot! I also made them a short promo video too :)
