Wedding Photography 2017/18

Firstly, thanks for enquiring with me about your wedding photography! By now you've probably had a good look through my wedding galleries and like what you see, and you're looking for someone to capture your day in a non-corny, informal and creative way.. So let's get down to details..

About Me

Well.. where do I start? I have a background in Fine Art and Journalism, and I specialise in creative, real and relaxed wedding coverage. I'm based 'Up North' in glorious Yorkshire and cover the UK and beyond. I love photography, travel, lazy days, the outdoors, making playlists and dancing around the kitchen to them as I cook. I usually have a camera on me and spend far too much time framing pictures and making photo books.

Style + Approach

My photography is less-than-traditional, heartfelt, creative and real. I'm inspired by the everyday, people-watching, travel, architecture and Wes Anderson (amongst a million other things..) - I love to capture people, moments, emotions, energy and little stories along the way. I promise not to make you stand in line for hours having group photos and I will never, ever make you 'say cheese'.

How do you work?

I work in a very unobtrusive and candid way.. I capture the majority of the day from the side lines and catch moments as they unfold. I like to know about you both, what makes you tick, and to take photographs that reflect you both and your personalities. At some point we'll do some formal shots, and we'll go for a wander for a few photographs of you both.. I love the little details that you've put together to make the day look wonderful, but I mainly love capturing people letting go, relaxing and enjoying themselves.

Where are you from?

I am based in the North East but cover the entire UK and beyond. I have before and absolutely love to travel for destination weddings.

I'm really camera shy.. I hate having my picture taken..

So many people say that (I'm the same), but I work hard to make sure that you're both comfortable and feel at ease while I take your picture. I won't be asking you to pose for hours on end and definitely won't tell you to 'Say Cheese!'..

What I will do is take you to a few spots for some artistic portraits and gently direct you to get the most out of this time so you get some beautiful shots of yourselves.. mainly I'm looking for the relationship between you both rather than anything overly stylised.

How do I know if you're a good fit for us and our wedding?

I'm a very informal, relaxed photographer who most people say feels like a friend on the day rather than someone you've employed for your wedding.. If you're looking for someone to blend in and keep your guests feeling at ease whilst bringing some candid and creative photography to document the day then chances are you're in the right place. I love hearing where you're up to with your wedding checklist beforehand, am on hand for supplier recommendations or just to chat about plans for the weekend.

My work is about people, love and celebration, and it doesn't get better than that. If you'd like to know more just drop me an email and I'll send you my brochure. Easy peasy.

So, what now?

To go ahead and book, just drop me a message and I'll whizz over a booking pack via email (it's the way forward!) and we can get your date in the diary! Unfortunately I can't hold dates, so to book you in I'll need the booking form and T+Cs filling in and submitted as well as a non-refundable booking fee of £200, which comes off your final package balance.

In the meantime, feel free to let me know a little bit more about your plans - I'd love to hear more about your ideas behind your celebrations!

Speak soon and happy wedding planning!
